Frequently Asked Questions

How does therapy work?

We view therapy as a collaborative process and believe that you are the expert on your life, and we are the experts in facilitating change. We work together towards your goals. Together we will work on identifying and putting into practice the skills you need. These skills can be increasing awareness and insight, challenging perceptions and assumptions, learning to address and resolve conflict effectively, and making new decisions for behavioral change. Change can feel painful, so we’ll support you at the pace that feels best. Finally we’ll create a plan to identify the early warning signs that problems could be returning and give you solutions to prevent them from ever happening.

How much does it cost?

Our counselors have different levels of experience and their fees are based on this difference. A fifty minute session may range between $90.00-$175.00. We do offer sliding scale fees based on annual income.

Can I use my insurance?

Can I use my insurance? Yes, currently we accept Medicaid, Tricare, and Silver Summit. However, you can seek direct reimbursement from your insurance provider if you are permitted to go to out-of-network providers. CORE Mental Health Services is out-of-network for several insurance providers. If we do not accept your insurance as payment, we can help you seek reimbursement.

What if I cannot afford my sessions?

We provide services at a sliding scale to clients who can’t afford our full rates. Sliding scales are determined by annual income and number of dependents. Please contact us to see what we have available.

What kind of payments do you take?

We accept Visa, Master Card, Check, and Cash payments.
